An important announcement about our stores

As you may have now heard, yesterday, after careful consideration over several months, we took the decision close our regional retail stores in Reading, Bristol and Cardiff with immediate effect. Our Portsmouth showroom, located at our head office, was not part of this process and will continue to serve our customers as usual.

For the last three years, Novatech’s strategic plan has been to focus on the successful growth of our business customers. We now sell and support significantly more technology to businesses and to the public sector than we do to retail consumers, and that ratio will continue to increase.

Over the last few months our regional stores have become increasingly hard to sustain, but you will understand that for obvious reasons, a company of our size cannot make such difficult deliberations public. We have worked closely with the members of our team affected by this to make the transition as painless as possible and have offered redeployment opportunities where we can.

Within the next few days and months everyone who has bought from our regional stores will receive a series of great offers in the post, or via email, which we hope will encourage them to keep Novatech as their first choice for IT. All warranties and care packs remain valid and we still offer free tech support for the life of your Novatech products.

We are committed to the continued growth of Novatech and we are very confident in our collective futures. We continue to invest in our business which includes a major expansion of our HQ and we’ll continue to hire more Business Team Account Managers and Technical Support staff.
To repeat what we have said before, we still have amazing people taking care of our customers at the centre of what we do. That much hasn’t changed and never will. It is just that now we are all working here in Portsmouth where we have been building and supporting award-winning hardware for over 25 years.
